Senior Firmware Developer (f/m/x)
What you'll work on:
- Develop firmware for custom hardware platforms based on ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
- Implement and manage data transfer pipelines from image sensors to embedded processors
- Develop bootloaders and handle connectivity features such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- Interface with sensors using low-level communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I²C, MIPI) for configuration and data acquisition
- Collaborate closely with hardware and product teams to design and deliver reliable embedded systems
- Design and execute test strategies to validate image acquisition performance under real-world conditions
- Write efficient and maintainable firmware in C, using RTOS and low-level hardware interfaces
- Contribute to the development of a scalable and maintainable embedded firmware architecture within the company
What you bring:
- 5+ years of experience in firmware/embedded systems development
- Proficient in C and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Academic degrees are welcome, but skills matter more
- Experience with wireless protocols like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- Deep understanding of bootloaders, low-level peripherals, and system architecture
- Proactive, independent, and creative problem solver
- Fluent in English, and a collaborative team player

Salary
The actual minimum salary is 4,485 EUR gross per month (on a 38.5-hour basis), the actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience. The salary is paid 14 times per year. The collective agreement Informationstechnologie, Datenverarbeitung (IT) applies. We're willing to overpay depending on your experience and skills.
Overtime
This is an all-in salary, which already includes any accrued overtime.
