Senior Backend Software Engineer (F/M/X)

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and own reliable and scalable APIs and services.
  • Architect high-performance, low-latency, and resilient features and applications.
  • Lead the technical design and integration of complex third-party systems into our platform, ensuring security and long-term maintainability.
  • Enhance our deployment strategies using Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and contribute to strategic decisions regarding system architecture and scalability.
  • Establish and champion best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation.
  • Mentor trainees, junior and mid-level engineers, conduct code reviews, and act as a technical authority within your team.

Your Profile

  • Relevant technical education (technical college, university, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in backend software engineering, with a proven track record of building complex systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Go and experience with high-performance, distributed systems.
  • Strong sense of ownership, a proactive mindset, and the ability to drive complex projects from ideation to completion.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Salary

The collective agreement minimum salary is 3,950 EUR gross per month (on a 38.5-hour basis). Based on your responsibilities, qualifications and experience we guarantee a competitive salary between 4,000 EUR and 6,500 EUR gross per month (on a 38.5-hour basis).
