IT:U is a new technical university in Austria (Linz) dedicated to digital transformation, driven by interdisciplinary research and project-based learning to actively shape this transformation and advance it with a solution-oriented approach.

Automation Specialist (f/m/d) *

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Implement end-to-end automation based on optimized business processes and support organizational scalability by building modular and maintainable automation architectures
  • Design, develop, and maintain workflows using Power Automate, n8n, and related automation tools, integrating AI capabilities
  • Collaborate with business analysts on business mapping, optimization and automation workflows and identify automation opportunities and evaluate feasibility, impact, and complexity
  • Integrate systems and data flows via APIs, connectors, and cloud services
  • Ensure documentation, monitoring, continuous improvement and governance of automation solutions to meet compliance, data protection, and security standards
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting, incident handling, and lifecycle management of automated workflows

Your strengths and skills:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or related fields (applicable certifications are beneficial, e.g. in Power Platform, automation tools, AI technologies or data analytics)
  • 3+ years of professional experience in process automation and designing end-to-end automated workflows
  • Hands-on with Microsoft Power Automate, n8n or similar automation platforms; experience in other tools (e.g. Make, Zapier, and Azure Logic Apps) are an asset
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, authentication flows, and system integrations
  • Experience integrating AI services into automation workflows (e.g. document processing, classification, predictive automation, intelligent routing)
  • Strong understanding of business process logic and automation patterns and ability to work in an agile, innovation-driven environment and to collaborate with business analysts and process owners
  • Familiarity with governance models for automation and low-code platforms and understanding of data platforms, integration layers or enterprise architecture are beneficial
  • English skills at a minimum level of C1 and clear and structured communication skills are required
  • Strong analytical thinking, solution-oriented and quality-driven mindset, ownership and reliability in implementation, curious and collaborative - eager to learn and grow with the team

Salary

Competitive compensation starting from EUR 50.000 yearly gross salary.
