What's the role?

In this role you will be responsible for hardware development projects up to high complexity under the functional leadership of Hilti AG's Business Unit Installation. You need to be accountable to plan and steer (time schedule, budget, resources) projects, set priorities according to project requirements and manage interdisciplinary and cross functional.

Our site in Lanzenkirchen, based in the south of Vienna, is Hilti´s Competence Center for Ventilated Façade and Installation Systems such as Pipe clamps and Heavy modular systems. As part of our Business Unit Installation, we provide product development, supply, marketing and engineering. Our highly motivated international team works together with colleagues from all over the world in an entrepreneurial environment to bring innovative new products to the market. What does the role involve?

● Manage development projects for hardware products from definition phase to market success
● Define and align project scope considering internal and external stakeholders
● Preparation of project roadmap incl. resource planning, steering and alignment with line managers
● Leading processes of project activity management (AIP)
● Documentation of all relevant project milestones information & decisions
● Sustainable buildup of method skills in project management incl. agile project management
● Interdisciplinary implementation of LEAN principles
● Stakeholder management incl. reporting to the respective Management Team
● Professional documentation and archiving of project documents incl. data management systems

What you need is:

  • Master's Degree in mechanical engineering or similar field combined with proven education/training in project management
  • 3-5 years proven track record in (agile) project management in international environment
  • Motivated personality with the attitude and drive to inspire others
  • Passion for implementation & usage of state of the art project management tools
  • Communication & presentation skills on all levels
  • Target oriented & decisive mindset
  • Fluent in spoken and written English is mandatory, German is a plus

This job falls under the collective agreement for metal trade employees in employment group IV. The agreement specifies that the minimum gross monthly salary for a full-time position (38.5 hours/week) is EUR 2,977,96.
