Job Description

The Account Developer Austria is part of NIQ/GfK's 'Consumer and Marketing Insights' team responsible for Germany, Austria & Switzerland (CMI DACH), serving as a liaison to clients. The primary role is to be a trusted advisor to Austrian clients, aligning CMI solutions with their key business questions. Candidates should have 4-5 years of experience in market research or account management, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deeply understand client challenges. They must demonstrate the value of CMI solutions, driving engagement and business growth.

You will...

  • Act as the main point of contact and trusted advisor for key Austrian accounts, nurturing and developing relationships.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and develop/executing strategic account plans based on client strategies and key questions.
  • Develop new and existing relationships to achieve sales growth, leading contract negotiations to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Understand the value of the CMI portfolio and effectively communicate it to lead negotiations and presentations.
  • Collaborate with other NIQ/GfK teams to ensure a holistic and customer-centric experience.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline within the CRM tool and provide regular sales forecasts to support business objectives.

You have...

  • Master's or bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 4 - 5 years work experience in market research or account management
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of market research methods and client's Industries across FMCG, Tech & Durables, Retail and other Industries
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships while actively listening to clients, identifying business opportunities, and understanding how to commercialize them
  • Strong pitch and proposal writing skills + strong communication skills in German and English
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Software skills/ MS Office, especially PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel

The detail and scope of this job description may be altered to take account of changing company needs. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR 46,390 (on a full-time basis). Depending on your experience, overpayment is possible.
