Data Engineer - Data Lakes (m/f/d)
Our client is developing ground-breaking IT strategies and solutions for their customers in the DACH region. As great emphasis is placed on innovation and flexibility, annual training sessions are provided along with the opportunity to work remotely within Austria for the most part. However, to ensure cohesive teamwork, the team gathers at the Vienna location every two weeks to promote collaboration. Due to rapid growth and a strong order book, we are therefore seeking an experienced Data Engineer - Data Lakes (m/f/d).
The Job:
- You are responsible for the conception and realization of Big Data & AI solutions in petabyte scale
- You are developing Big Data & AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, AZURE, VMWare and Kubernetes Implementation of data pipelines, ETL routes and migration of existing DWH/DL systems
- You are advising teams, including C-level teams, on the use of data engineering and data analytics
- You ensure a close collaboration with other company internal teams and understanding of their concepts and solutions Support in sales by building and maintaining customer relationships
- Additional you are ensuring a long-term and cooperative relationship with different customers
Your qualification:
- You have a university degree in computer science, e-technology, physics or mathematics
- If you don't have an university degree you have a completed training as an IT specialist (m/f/d) for system integration/application development with several years of professional experience, knowledge in Big Data architectures, especially on AWS, Azure or on on-premise Cloudera distributions
- You are very familiar with technologies around Python, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Airflow. Hands-on experience with Docker and CI&CD
- You have strong communication skills and solid knowledge of programming
- You already have several years of professional experience
- You have analytical/conceptual skills, ability to work in a team, and customer focus
