Are you passionate about exploring business domains, identifying opportunities and challenges, and designing the right solution to address them? Do you love bridging the gap between business and technology, leveraging your technical expertise to create innovative and meaningful outcomes?
This is your chance to join us as a Technical Product Owner and play a key role in driving the evolution of our Media Platform. We are looking for a motivated and talented individual who thrives in taking ownership, leading impactful projects, and driving innovation and growth.
At Red Bull Media House, our Media Technology & IT department is responsible for all media technology across the organization. From our self-developed media platform to one of the most technically advanced TV studios in Europe, we design, develop, and operate a wide range of cutting-edge applications and services.
As part of an agile team, you'll thrive in a proactive and collaborative environment. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engineers, designers, leadership, and users. Acting as a bridge between business and technical teams, you're someone who quickly grasps unfamiliar concepts, breaks complex problems into manageable parts, and collaborates across functions to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables. You'll also be part of a culture of appreciation and respect, where it is safe to take risks, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve.
This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, embraces ownership of responsibilities (even those outside their immediate scope), and thrives on driving projects to success - from the initial ideation to delivery. You possess the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals while staying ahead of challenges by identifying and addressing potential roadblocks early. Keeping up with industry trends and leveraging emerging technologies will ensure our media platform remains innovative and delivers exceptional user experiences.
Putting user experience first, you bring the ability to understand customer pain points, collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their demands, derive product requirements, and prioritize features based on business value together. You feel comfortable exploring the "problem space" with users to ensure we are building the right solution before moving into design and implementation. Your ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions will be key to driving product success.
In this role, you'll connect product and technology, translating complex technical requirements into actionable tasks and effective solutions alongside a team of engineers. Conducting market research and competitive analysis will guide build-or-buy decisions as part of the decision-making process. While no hands-on engineering work is expected, a foundational understanding of software development, data engineering, and AI will be beneficial for facilitating collaboration with the engineering teams.
