We are looking to fill the following position
Senior QA Engineer - JS / Cypress (m/f/d)
Your area of responsibility
- Design, write, and maintain automated test cases for web applications and REST APIs, with a strong focus on Cypress using JavaScript
- Provide manual testing support for new features and regression cases
- Contribute to the integration of Cypress test suites into CI/CD pipelines
- Analyze test results, report bugs clearly, and provide actionable feedback
- Collaborate closely with developers and product owners in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Maintain and update QA documentation, test plans, and related tooling
- Share best practices and mentor team members in Cypress, test design, and automation strategy
Your qualifications profile
- 5+ years of experience in both automated and manual testing, including 2+ years of deep hands-on experience with Cypress, including:
- Writing modular and scalable tests using JavaScript/TypeScript
- Structuring tests with Page Object Models and custom commands
- Testing dynamic content, intercepting GraphQL and REST APIs
- Solid experience in REST API testing, using Cypress and tools like Postman
- Working knowledge of SQL/DB, able to validate and manipulate data for test scenarios
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design techniques, and software development life cycles
- Experienced in Agile team environments, with excellent team collaboration and English communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Nice to have: ISTQB certification(s)

- MERKUR BETS offers a gross salary starting at EUR 3.500.-- per month (40 hrs/week) for this position, which exceeds the collective bargaining agreement, with corresponding additional payment offered in accordance with specific qualifications and experience.
