IoT Researcher Engineer (f/m/d) Full-time, Vienna Metropolitan Area and St. Pölten

What you will be doing?

The focus of your work will be the development of digital farming solutions, leveraging AI, cloud computing, and IoT technologies, frequently in collaboration with external partners. We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative IoT Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge IoT applications and embedded systems for connected devices. You will integrate these devices with cloud platforms and back-end systems while collaborating closely with our researchers across various projects. As part of a crossfunctional team, you will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that contribute to the advancement of Industry 4.0/5.0, smart technologies, and their applications in diverse fields. A passion for staying ahead of emerging industry trends and technologies is essential.

What we require of you?

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience in IoT development, embedded systems, or similar roles.
  • Experience with IoT protocols like MQTT, HTTP, and WebSockets and IoT cloud platforms.
  • Working knowledge of the application of AI tools and methodologies is preferred.
  • Understanding of networking, data management, and security in IoT environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Comfortable using English, with the ability to speak to and write for a range of professional audiences.
  • Organized, practical, and eager to learn how to support project management through tasks such as reporting and resource monitoring.

Optionally?

  • You are happy to be exposed to a German speaking Environment.
  • You are interested in contributing to scientific publications.

What the RSA FG can offer you?

  • The gross salary is ranging from a minimum or 3.300,00 per month (fulltime), the actual salary will be depending on qualification and experience.
  • The offer is for 1 year, with the option of extending the contract based on an evaluation of your performance.
