Job Introduction

Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Worldwide, more than 500 customers in some 150 countries with more than 45,000 workstations already trust our know-how and proven experience.

This role acts as an enabling and coordinating function across Product Management, Operational Product Management, and Development Project Management in a SAFe-oriented organization that moves to rolling backlog planning instead of classic PI Planning. The position supports continuous planning, monitoring, and steering of development activities across multiple SAFe Scrum teams, other SAFe ARTs, and external suppliers. In addition, the role takes ownership of long-running, complex technical initiatives in the role of a SAFe Epic Owner and ensures transparency, flow, and predictability in a rolling planning and delivery setup.

Key Tasks

  • Strategic Planning Support: Supporting continuous, rolling backlog planning and ensuring alignment between product priorities, architectural constraints, and team backlogs.
  • Progress & KPI Monitoring: Defining and maintaining KPIs (flow, quality, delivery performance) to create transparency and identify systemic bottlenecks.
  • Process & Workflow Management: Defining and improving development workflows while aligning processes between PM, POs, and RTEs.
  • SAFe Epic Ownership: Taking full ownership of long-running, cross-organizational initiatives--driving them from scoping and prioritization to final delivery.
  • Development Oversight & Continuous Improvement: Supporting product leadership in overseeing multiple teams and suppliers while proactively driving efficiency and predictability.

Key Qualifications

  • Agile Expertise & Experience: Proven track record in technical project and/or product management, specifically within scaled agile frameworks (SAFe) and complex delivery environments as well as relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or agile credentials (e.g., SAFe, CSM, PSM) are desirable.
  • Methodological & Tool Proficiency: Practical Experience in tools like Jira and Confluence. Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) combined with expertise in KPI-based monitoring.
  • Strong Facilitation & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills to coordinate complex topics across organizational levels and align diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Analytical & Delivery-Oriented Mindset: A proactive, structured approach focused on continuous process improvement and pragmatic problem-solving under competing priorities.
