Our ZEISS Data & Analytics Team transforms data into a strategic asset from which economic benefits and competitive advantages can be generated for our success. We are looking for a new colleague for our Data & Analytics Team in Vienna.

Data Analyst (m/f/x)

As Data Analyst (m/f/x) you …

  • maintain and develop our regional PowerBI Platform and optimize internal business processes.
  • identify and realize data-driven business potential together with the business stakeholders including requirement engineering.
  • provide internal and external data for the identification of new market segments and estimation of the business potential.
  • document and promote data-driven projects across departments and cultivate partnerships to build and expand data-related capabilities and accelerate the realization of data-driven projects.
  • support the establishment of a data governance structure, roles and responsibilities and the business in solving data quality issues.
  • evangelize the usage of the data architecture with the goal to harmonize and standardize data-driven processes and workflows.
  • support the development of data-related skills ("data literacy") within the Sales & Service Company and distribute local activities in the global ZEISS environment.

You´ve come to the right place in our data team if you have …

  • an academic degree (or about to be accomplished) in Business and/ or IT with focus on Data Science/ Business Intelligence/ Data Management/ Finance
  • 3 years professional experience in Consulting, Project Management or BI and working with data and getting insights from data
  • good understanding of data management principles and tasks (data quality, data governance, data architecture, data lineage, data modelling, metadata, …)
  • experience in data engineering and analyzing data (preferably in SQL, MDX, SAP BW/ERP/CRM)
  • experience with BI tools (preferably PowerBI, M and DAX)
  • programming know-how (Python)
  • know-how with MS Azure and MIS advantageous
  • action- and solution orientation
  • strong customer orientation
  • team player characteristics
  • good command of English
  • German skills or willingness to learn German

We offer you cooperation in an international and growing organization with lots of potential for data & analytics, most trainings and certifications are free of charge (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, SEO, etc.) and a gross annual salary from EUR 50.000, (Fulltime). However, your remuneration is based on your individual qualifications and position-relevant professional experience. Your remuneration package will include a bonus model and attractive Fringe Benefits.
