The Application Operations Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. This role involves leading the architecture and implementation of complex systems, providing technical guidance to the engineering team, and ensuring the highest quality standards in software development and maintenance.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of software applications.
  • Lead the architecture and implementation of complex software systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in software development and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high-level technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.
  • Interface with clients to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including runbooks, guides, and technical specifications.
  • Lead and participate in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Implement and monitor performance and scalability improvements.
  • Lead the development and execution of test plans and ensure software quality.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in application engineering and incident management.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Proficient in coding languages and software development tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English
